Why aren’t there more video book reviews?

Ron Charles is a book reviewer for the Washington Post. His Totally Hip Book Reviews are mainly humor, but it makes them infinitely watchable.
We know that video attracts more viewers and more interaction than print, so I’m curious as to why more book reviewers, always looking for that edge in the proliferation of online book review sites, haven’t jumped on this bandwagon. They don’t have to look like Angelina Jolie. They don’t have to be humorous. A purring cat and warm cup of tea could be their style.
Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world. If you want to be seen, not having a presence is a mystery to me.
Anybody know of a reviewer in our genre doing video book reviews?

  1. Hysterical! Uh… is that a cliché? If I were really clever, which I'm not, I would take some of these comments and exchange them with sportscasters' clichés. Wouldn't that be a hoot? This book takes it All. The. Way. Well, you get the idea. Anyway, thanks for a good laugh.

  2. Andi, you are so right! That would be so much fun. You could do the same thing with they catch phrases from restaurants or movies promo too.
